Despite a last-minute reschedule due to tornadic weather, Heartland Art Club opened the Members’ Showcase on March 15 to an enthusiastic gathering of nearly a hundred participants and friends. The annual exhibition is one of Heartland’s largest, featuring more than sixty works by member artists. It runs through April 12.

“The Members’ show is my favorite,” said Lisa Perez, steering committee member. “I enjoy the inclusivity, range of styles, and the variety of subjects and levels of accomplishment.”

Stacey McAdams, a Signature member artist, judged the show and awarded prizes for her top three picks and two honorable mentions. Additionally, two memorial awards were given: M. Shawn Cornell announced the David Cornell Composition Award, and Lisa Ober announced the Spencer Meagher Light Award.

Support for the show came from Blick Art Materials, Grafica Fine Art Gallery and Framing, and Mary Drastal Fine Art.
